This provision is good • Staff help children to develop a wide range of skills that complement their learning at school.

Staff take into account children's interests and comments from teaching staff when they plan activities and experiences for children to enjoy. • Staff ensure that the environment is very well equipped, indoors and outdoors. Toys and resources are of a good quality and are easily accessible.

This helps children to develop good levels of independence. Children confidently choose what they would like to do and concentrate on their chosen activities. • Children are happy and content.

They display high levels of self-esteem and freely interact with... adults, sharing their news and events of the school day. Children form good friendships with other children. They play collaboratively, share, take turns and listen to one another.

• Parents are very happy with the care provided for their children. They receive a wide range of information, through daily discussions and frequent newsletters. They comment that their children are very happy to attend and fondly describe the friendliness of the staff team.

• Leaders and managers are not currently making the most of staff supervision arrangements, to help raise the overall quality of practice to an outstanding level. • Staff do not gather detailed information about children's likes, interests and abilities when they first start at the club. • Occasionally, staff do not give children sufficient time to respond to questions.
