Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good The enthusiastic and dedicated managers and staff regularly reflect on the effectiveness of the pre-school. They consider the views of parents, children and other professionals when making changes, which impacts positively on children’s experiences. Partnership working with parents and other professionals is good. Staff strive to involve parents and the host school in children’s learning and development, in order to help successfully promote continuity. The quality of teaching is good. Experienced and qualified staff interact extremely well with the children. Children are provided with a wide range of learning experiences that interests and motivates them to learn. Children are happy, settle quickly and receive the individual care and attention that they need to help them feel secure. Their efforts and achievements are acknowledged with praise and encouragement and they are nurtured with lots of warmth, consideration and kindness. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not consistently challenge children to learn as much as possible during planned activities. As a result, although children make consistently good progress, they are not learning as rapidly as they could.
