Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Staff regularly observe children and provide a range of resources that follows children’s interests. Children are motivated to learn and are keen to take part in activities. Partnerships with parents are strong. Parents report very positively on how well staff involve them in their children’s learning, which helps to support learning at home. The management uses self-evaluation effectively. It values the views of parents and staff to help it identify ways to improve children’s experiences. Staff support children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities very well. For example, they work closely with other professionals and implement specific activities that enable children to make good progress in relation to their starting points. Staff have strong bonds with children and are positive role models. Children behave well, use good manners and demonstrate that they are fully aware of the boundaries in place. It is not yet outstanding because: The monitoring of assessments of some children is not rigorous enough to consistently secure the best possible outcomes for all children. Staff do not use all opportunities to encourage children to learn about numbers, shapes and sizes during their play.
