This provision is good • Staff are kind, caring and respond well to children's individual needs. Staff get to know children well from the outset. This helps children to settle well and become familiar with the environment.

Children are happy, confident and enjoy the time they spend at this welcoming nursery. • Staff have a good understanding of how young children learn and develop. They provide children with appropriate activities that are based on children's individual interests.

All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress in their learning. • Parents are extremely happy with the service provided. They speak highl...y of the care and education their children receive.

They appreciate how happy and settled their children are. • Partnership working with other professionals is well established. Staff share regular information with other settings attended by children.

This helps complement children's care and learning experiences. • At times, targets set for children's next steps in learning are not ambitious enough or shared with parents frequently enough to help children progress at the highest possible rate. • Managers do not make the best use of the knowledge, expertise and ideas within the staff team to help staff develop professionally.
