Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good The key-person system is strong. Staff know children well and support their individual needs highly effectively. New children settle quickly and form strong bonds with the caring staff.

Children are happy and confident. Staff plan a broad range of stimulating activities that reflects the interests of the children and their next steps in learning. Children are keen to join in and enjoy learning.

The leaders closely monitor the progress that all children make. They quickly identify any gaps in children's development and offer additional support where needed, such as through well-focused small-group activities. This helps children to catch up quickly....

Staff successfully work in partnership with parents. They find a range of ways to involve them in their children's learning and encourage a good two-way flow of information. This supports continuity in children's learning and contributes towards their good progress.

Parents speak highly of the care that their children receive and say that they value the detailed feedback at the end of each day. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not consistently make the most of the questions they ask children to extend their learning fully and challenge their thinking skills. At times, staff do not organise the group times for the two- and three-year-old children as well as possible, to limit distraction and support all children to develop their listening and concentration skills further.
