This provision is good The managers and staff create a welcoming, friendly and stimulating environment.

Children are very happy and form close relationships with adults, who help them feel safe, secure and ready to learn. Children behave well and are respectful of their friends. The managers effectively include staff, parents and other early years professionals in the evaluation of the pre-school.

They successfully identify strengths and areas for further improvement and ensure good standards are maintained. Staff make regular and detailed assessments of what the children know and can do. They carefully plan activities using children's interests to help engage children i...n their learning.

Children make good progress from their developmental starting points. Parents are made welcome and kept very well informed. Staff successfully involve them in their children's learning.

They invite them to regular reviews and offer meaningful suggestions for activities to continue children's learning at home. It is not yet outstanding because: The managers do not monitor staff performance rigorously to help set precise areas for further improvement for all staff to enhance their good practice further. Staff do not consistently make the most of their interactions with children or adapt activities fully effectively to extend children's learning further.
