Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good The manager, who is also the owner, and her staff team know all children well. They provide a wide range of activities for children to experience indoors and outdoors. Children have fun at the end of their school day. The manager and staff are good role models. They encourage children to use their manners, be polite and take turns. Children behave well. They fully understand the club’s rules and the staff’s expectations of them. Partnerships with the host school are good. The manager liaises daily with class teachers to support continuity of care and learning. Parents praise the level of support that staff provide for their children. The manager leads her staff team well. She has addressed the recommendations raised at the last inspection. For example, she has improved opportunities for children to develop their social skills further at mealtimes. It is not yet outstanding because: Sometimes, the manager and staff offer too much direction during children’s activities. They do not always allow children time to think for themselves, contribute their own ideas and respond to the questions they are asked. Although the manager has reflected well on some aspects of the club, she does not include the views of parents and staff so they can give their ideas and suggestions for future developments.
