Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Staff are committed to supporting all children to make good or better progress in their learning and development. They successfully use the information from observations to identify children’s individual interests and what they need to learn next. Staff have created strong relationships with children and their families which contributes towards children feeling safe. Children are confident and settled. Staff work well as a team and reflect on the nursery. They know the strengths of the setting and have a clear vision for continuous improvement. Children are supported well during their move to school. Staff share information so teachers have a good understanding of children’s needs and what they know and can do. Children are provided with a good range of freshly prepared, nutritious meals and snacks which contributes significantly towards keeping them healthy. It is not yet outstanding because: On occasions, coaching and mentoring of newer staff is not effectively focused to ensure they continue to build on the skills and knowledge they have already acquired. Sometimes adult-led activities are too lengthy and some children lose enthusiasm and attention.
