The provision is outstanding • The enthusiastic staff are well qualified and have an excellent understanding of where children are in their development and what they need to learn next. They use highly effective teaching methods to engage children in purposeful play activities. Children make rapid progress. • Staff put children’s emotional well-being at the heart of everything they do. They are superb role models who, through the key-person system, have developed extremely strong bonds with the children. They treat them with the utmost dignity and respect. This helps children to feel valued and happy. • Staff build outstanding relationships with parents, as part of the excellent settling-in programmes and children’s ongoing care and education. There is comprehensive information sharing. This means that they meet children’s individual needs exceedingly well and children flourish. • The manager and staff monitor and track the progress of individual children and different groups extremely well. This enables them to identify any gaps rapidly and provide excellent support for children to catch up quickly. • Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities thrive in this stimulating environment. Staff work exceptionally effectively with parents, other professionals and external agencies to meet children’s learning and care needs. • The manager and senior management team have a rigorous system to ensure that staff provide children with high-quality care. They support staff extraordinarily well through peer observations, supervisions, regular meetings and training. • The manager and staff are keen to share their outstanding setting with others. They have hosted an outstanding forum for the local authority where other providers visited the setting and staff shared good practice.
