Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • Staff provide well-planned activities that capture children's interests and motivate them to get involved. Children enjoy activities, such as cooking, playing archery, riding pedal go-carts, playing laser tag, jumping on inflatables and dressing up.

Staff interact in children's play and support them to achieve their aims. • Children are happy, settled and well behaved. Staff provide children with positive role models.

They listen and respond to what children say and support them to develop good social skills. During well-organised group discussions, children remember and say that they need to use kind feet, kind hands and kind words. Staff explain... the importance of treating others with respect.

• Managers make sure that staff develop a good understanding of their roles and responsibilities to keep children safe. Staff supervise children well at all times. They risk assess the premises, activities and outings to reduce any hazards and keep children safe.

• Staff establish effective communication with parents to meet children's individual needs. Parents spoken to during the inspection say that the staff are very welcoming and that their children like the activities. It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff sometimes miss opportunities to use children's interests to extend further what they enjoy doing.
