Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is outstanding Staff have an excellent knowledge of how children learn through play. They use detailed observations to plan sharply focused next steps for children’s learning. This helps children to make rapid progress, especially in developing their language and communication skills. Staff measure children’s progress precisely and prepare them extremely well for the next stage in their learning. Staff assess children’s progress regularly and precisely. All children make excellent progress from very clearly established starting points. The quality of teaching and staff’s interaction with children is excellent. Children experience exciting and varied activities that cover all aspects of learning in depth. They explore a rich and varied learning environment both indoors and outside. There is excellent communication and sharing of information about children’s needs and progress with parents. They are all very involved in children’s learning, and staff work closely with them. Parents are guided exceptionally well to support children’s learning at home and at nursery. They are invited to join in with children’s activities and are involved in many nursery events. Children are very happy and secure in this homely and welcoming nursery. Their behaviour is excellent and they are kind to each other. Children enjoy choosing fresh fruit at snack time. Staff sit with them and teach them about healthy eating. The nursery has strong links with other local early years providers. Staff share ideas and best practice and work closely with other professionals to support children and their families extremely well. The enthusiastic managers have a very clear plan of how to improve the high-quality provision even further.
