Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • The manager and her staff work well together.

They have successfully addressed all actions set at the last inspection. Recruitment is effective and all required checks are completed to ensure staff are suitable to work with children. • Staff place a strong focus on building older children's literacy skills.

For instance, they help them learn about the names of letters in their names and the sounds they represent. All children, including those who speak English as an additional language, make good progress in their learning. Outcomes for children are good.

• Children are confident and happy. They settle into the nursery well and develop se...cure attachments with their key person. This helps to support younger children's emotional well-being effectively.

• Staff promote children's understanding of the wider world, through interesting hands-on activities. Children enjoy learning about the natural world and benefit from good opportunities to develop their physical skills. • Staff have a good understanding of how to keep children safe and capture opportunities for children to learn to keep themselves safe.

This helps children to learn skills that prepare them well for their future learning. It is not yet outstanding because: • Staff do not focus planning as sharply as possible for children's next steps in learning, to help them make even better progress. • At times, staff answer questions for children and do not help them to think through their own ideas and express their thoughts independently.
