They are settled, confident and happy. Staff know children's individual personalities well, and children have a good sense of belonging. • There are good opportunities for children to participate in activities that require them to be mature.

For instance, they use real tools, such as hammers, in woodwork activities. • The manager and staff effectively evaluate their practice together. For example, they have daily discussions to review how much children enjoyed their time at the club.

They use their findings to plan experiences that keep children motivated to play. • Children are polite and behave we...ll. Children know what is expected of them and follow the rules and boundaries, which they recap daily with confidence.

• Children understand the importance of healthy eating. They enjoy regular cooking activities and make healthy meals, such as fruit kebabs. • Children have good opportunities to understand other people's similarities and differences from around the wider world.

For example, they learn about traditions of other religious beliefs, such as exploring henna patterns for Diwali. • Staff do not organise the environment to help ensure that children have inviting and welcoming spaces to rest and relax and enjoy quieter activities. • Staff do not make the most of available play opportunities to further engage children who prefer to be outdoors more extensively.
