This provision is outstanding • The environment is highly stimulating and attractive. It is exceptionally well organised and significantly enhances children's learning. Children access an excellent range of resources, indoors and outdoors, which promotes all aspects of their play and learning very successfully.

• The well-qualified and experienced staff team demonstrates consistently high-quality teaching skills. They know children very well and use information from their observations and from parents to plan activities which engage and challenge all children. For example, staff offer children more complex resources as they master skills, such as shape matching and measuring.

• Staff have a superb partnership with parents. They have daily communication with parents and carers and professionally exchange information regarding children's care and development. This helps to ensure children's individual needs are extremely well met.

• Children's behaviour is exemplary. They remain highly engaged in their own learning experiences and are highly motivated to join in. All children make high rates of progress from the time they first start at nursery.

Where delays are identified, staff take prompt and rigorous action to provide further support. • The manager and her staff team are inspirational. They have a real thirst to continue to extend their knowledge.

For example, they access training and seek the advice and support of other professionals to build on their skills and knowledge. • Children have exceptional opportunities to develop their understanding of communities. They participate in a wide range of events within the local community, such as fund raising for various local charities and helping to decorate the hospital children's ward.
