Summary of key findings for parents
This provision is good Staff encourage children to become involved in the running and routines of the club. Children respond well to staff’s high expectations of what they can do and achieve. Staff get to know children well and cater to their interests and preferences. Children enjoy their time at the club. Staff engage well with children at their own level. Children who are new to the club demonstrate they are happy to attend and feel secure to play and interact. Children have a good understanding of how to keep themselves healthy. They enjoy undertaking a variety of different physical play activities in the outdoor area. Children are encouraged to be independent. Staff provide a variety of opportunities for children to make choices and assist them with tasks, developing their sense of responsibility. It is not yet outstanding because: The provider’s arrangements for evaluating the quality of the provision are not yet robust enough to sharply focus on ambitious plans for development. Staff do not yet make best use of opportunities to help children assess risks and learn more about how to keep themselves safe.
