Summary of key findings for parents
The provision is good • Staff provide a warm and nurturing learning environment where children settle well. Children are confident to ask for help when needed. Their behaviour is good. • Managers and staff regularly check the progress of each child. When they spot any issues in children’s learning, they provide good support to help children catch up. Children make good progress in relation to their individual starting points and capabilities. They are well prepared for the next stages in their learning and development, including the move on to school. • Children gain good knowledge about their own cultures, the different people and their communities. For example, they take part in festivals and appreciate that others have lifestyles that are different from their own. • Staff work well with relevant agencies and providers to help ensure that children receive the appropriate support they need. • Managers consistently monitor and evaluate the quality of the provision to ensure that children achieve well and staff meet their care and learning needs effectively. It is not yet outstanding because: • Occasionally, staff do not provide enough opportunities for children to practise their early writing skills. • Staff do not consistently offer many experiences to extend and build on children’s understanding and skills in using everyday technology.
