This provision is outstanding Teaching is highly effective and very responsive to children's individual needs.

Staff work exceptionally well with parents to involve them in their children's learning. They achieve superb consistency between the home and the pre-school. The manager and staff use assessments of children's development very successfully.

They compare the progress of individual children, groups of children and different areas of the curriculum to ensure that any gaps in learning close rapidly. Children are highly motivated to learn and they make substantial progress from when they first start. They develop excellent skills in preparation for school, including ...a very secure understanding of early reading and mathematics.

Children settle very quickly and thoroughly enjoy their time in the pre-school. They demonstrate great self-control and an excellent understanding of behavioural expectations. The trustees of the pre-school provide a high level of continuity in their leadership and management.

They work closely with the manager and staff to evaluate practice and make improvements that lead to outstanding outcomes for children. Leaders and managers ensure that safeguarding procedures are robust. They are confident to challenge and improve processes to strive for the very best outcomes for children.
