This provision meets requirements Children are dropped off and collected from friendly staff at the door.

This is in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and helps to reduce the spread of infection and keep children safe. Children independently manage their own personal care needs. They wash their hands regularly, including before they sit down for their snack.

This helps children to learn good hygiene practises. Children settle quickly in this club, showing they feel safe. They happily enter the club and quickly find an activity they want to join.

Some children enjoy playing with small figures and become absorbed in imaginative play with their frien...ds. Other children have fun being artistic and make their own creations, such as magical cats and fish using a variety of craft resources. Children behave very well.

This is due to staff having high expectations for children. Children share and take turns with each other. They are polite and use their manners well.

Children identify their own feelings and share these with nurturing staff. They are able to regulate their own behaviour. Children understand how their actions makes others feel.

They show consideration and concern for their friends.

Children learn some ways to keep themselves healthy. They can choose from a variety of nutritious food at snack time. Children get daily fresh air and lots of exercise.

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.Staff have a good knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and their role and responsibilities in keeping children safe from harm. They understand how to correctly report concerns about the welfare of children.

Staff are aware of the possible signs and symptoms of abuse. There is an emergency evacuation procedure in place. This is practised and understood by staff and children.

Staff are trained in paediatric first aid and keep this up to date. They correctly record children's accidents and share these with parents. Staff carry out checks of the indoor and outdoor areas and remove any hazards before children use these spaces.
