What is it like to attend this early years setting?

The provision is outstanding

Children flourish in this inspirational nursery. They are confident, assertive, polite, independent and resilient.

Children's happiness is immediately evident as they energetically wave goodbye to their parents in the morning, eagerly anticipating the day ahead. Their determination to succeed is largely due to the kind, empathetic and warm interactions they receive from friendly staff. Relationships shared between children and staff are wonderful and contribute significantly to children's emotional security.

Babies remain calm and content as they experience uninterrupted attention and cuddles. When older childre...n encounter difficulties in their learning, they are met with plenty of praise and genuine encouragement. For instance, children balance on planks, walking slowly and taking turns.

Staff encourage children to jump when they reach the end of the plank obstacle course, extending already excellent physical coordination further. Some planks are wobbly, extending balance and core strength even more. This is an exceptionally difficult task, which requires impressive levels of concentration, focus, resilience and perseverance.

Staff provide ongoing praise and children eventually succeed. Supportive teaching is excellent and children develop a fabulous can-do attitude towards their learning. Behaviour is exemplary throughout this nursery.

Expectations are clear and children are cooperative, respectful and helpful. To illustrate, older children work together and collaboratively they help to put a heavy lid on a water tray. Children are encouraged to tip toe past their friends who are enjoying a quiet story, which they do without question.

Children's behaviour is impeccable. Children learn empathy and consideration for others. They enjoy writing and receiving letters from elderly members of the community.

Children tend and nurture flowers they have planted in the local parks. They are kind, helpful, respectful individuals supported by wonderful staff, who are excellent role models. Staff remain sensitive to the impact of COVID-19 on children and families.
