Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is outstanding • The management team and staff have high expectations of themselves and share their vision about how to meet the needs of all children to a very high standard.

The manager thoroughly monitors the progress of different groups of children. She works closely with the management team, staff, parents and other professionals to identify and address any gaps in children's learning. All children make excellent progress from their starting points, including those who receive funding.

• Self-evaluation is highly reflective and accurately identifies where practice and provision excel and how to make improvements. For example, staff have introduced a m...ud kitchen and planting area in the inspirational outdoor area. Children can choose from a varied range of resources that inspire their independent play and exploration.

• The experienced and dedicated staff work extremely well as a cohesive team. Staff receive regular support and supervision and continually build on their professional knowledge. Management and staff focus training on areas that will best meet children's individual needs, for example communication skills training.

• Settling-in procedures are designed to meet the individual needs of children and their parents. All children build close bonds with staff and happily enter the nursery, including those children with special educational needs and/or disabilities or who speak English as an additional language. They engage extremely well in their play, both inside and outside.

• Management and staff are exceptionally good at helping children reach their full potential. They make excellent use of additional funding to precisely target children's needs. For example, they help purchase equipment to support children's medical needs and access activities that help promote physical development and self-control.
