Highlights from Latest Inspection:
Summary of key findings for parents This provision is good Leaders and staff are enthusiastic and hardworking. They are fully committed to developing the nursery. There are effective systems to review practice and identify areas for further improvement. The quality of teaching is strong. Staff have a good knowledge and understanding of how young children learn and develop. All children, including those who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities, make good progress in their learning. Leaders and staff create a safe, well-resourced and stimulating learning environment, inside and outside. Children arrive with energy and enthusiasm and make their own choices about what they would like to play with. A well-established key-person system helps staff meet children’s needs effectively and positive staff interaction encourages children’s social skills. Staff form effective partnerships with parents. There are good two-way systems for sharing information. For example, staff provide written and verbal feedback and offer communication books to parents in their first language. It is not yet outstanding because: Systems used to record assessments of children’s stages of learning do not always accurately reflect what children know and can do. The planned next steps do not consistently target gaps in children’s learning effectively. On occasion, staff do not consistently organise daily routines to effectively maintain children’s full engagement in their learning. |
