Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Parents are kept well informed about the club and the activities on offer. They report good levels of satisfaction and state their children are happy and enjoy attending. • There are well-established partnerships with the on-site school.

There is a good two-way flow of information between the school teachers and the club staff to share information about children's care and needs. • Staff organise the session well to help children freely choose what they want to play with from the activities on offer. Children show sustained levels of interest in their chosen play and enjoy their time at the club.

• Staff make the time to consult with children and... find out what they like to do. They provide a rich range of art and craft activities for children to be creative and imaginative. • Staff build close relationships with their assigned key children and have a secure knowledge of their personal and medical needs.

• Staff place a good focus on children increasing their independence and confidence during activities and promote their socials skills well. • The manager does not use highly effective monitoring systems and incisive staff development opportunities to help raise the quality even further. • Staff do not make the best possible use of the space available to provide children with a rich range of physical play opportunities.
