Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • Children thoroughly enjoy their time at this bright, welcoming and nurturing pre-school.

Staff are good role models and support children's emotional development well. • The manager demonstrates a strong commitment to improving the quality of the provision. Self-evaluation is ongoing and identifies the areas for improvement that can further raise outcomes for children.

• Staff support children to develop independence from a young age. Children demonstrate strong self-care skills. For example, they go to the toilet, wash their hands, pour their own drinks and tidy away resources independently.

• Overall, children make good progress and teac...hing is strong. Staff provide a wide range of resources both inside and outdoors, which engage and stimulate children to play and learn. • Staff work well with parents to help engage them successfully in their children's learning.

They continually update parents with their children's achievements and give plenty of helpful ideas to support further learning at home. It is not yet outstanding because: • At times, staff do not focus consistently on children's next steps in learning during planned activities, to support them to make the best possible progress. • The manager does not monitor the progress that groups of children make in their learning, to identify potential gaps and help raise children's outcomes even further.
