What is it like to attend this early years setting?

This provision does not meet requirements Senior leaders are not clear about how to meet all of the requirements of their registration.

Furthermore, they do not receive a comprehensive induction when they start their new role and do not receive effective ongoing supervision to help them to understand and fulfil all of their responsibilities. Despite these breaches of requirements, staff create a welcoming, vibrant and fun environment with a wide range of exciting activities for children to enjoy. Children show positive engagement and immerse themselves in the carefully planned experiences devised by staff.

They enthusiastically talk about the different act...ivities, such as swimming, go carting and playing on the bouncy castle. Children express that they love attending and state they like the staff. They also discuss that they enjoy spending time with their friends.

Staff are positive role models. They actively join in with children's play and make their experiences fun. Staff have respectful and meaningful conversations with children throughout the day.

Consequently, children build good bonds with the staff and each other and behave very well. Children have good opportunities to contribute their ideas. For instance, staff encourage them to suggest games and they have lots of fun playing high-energy circle games, such as 'Splat' and 'Honey Bear Where's Your Honey'.

It is evident that children are happy and enjoy attending.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

Senior leaders have not notified Ofsted about important changes to the Nominated Individual with overall responsibility for the setting. This is a breach of requirements, however there is no direct impact on children's daily experiences at the holiday club.

Although there are appropriate induction and supervision arrangements in place for staff working directly with children, the arrangements for inducting and supporting senior leaders are not effective. This means that senior leaders do not fully understand all aspects of their role and accountabilities.Staff plan a good variety of enriching experiences that capture children's interests very well.

For instance, children enjoy engaging in different cooking, dance and art and craft activities. For example, children make Chinese dragon window decorations to celebrate Chinese New Year. This helps children learn about different cultures and helps them to develop respectful attitudes towards diversity.

Staff provide lots of opportunities throughout the day for children to be active. For example, children participate in a range of sports, such as football, basket ball and netball. This helps them to lead healthy lifestyles and supports their overall health and well-being.

Staff place strong emphasis on supporting children's emotional well-being. For example, staff complete children's mental health training and ensure they have daily discussions with children about how they feel. Consequently, children show they are happy, relaxed at the club and show positive attitudes towards the different activities and experiences.

Staff have clear expectations for children's behaviour. They reinforce the ground rules of the setting and teach children about kindness and collaboration. As a result, children respond well to the boundaries in place and behave very well.

The holiday club is highly inclusive. Older children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive good support from staff. This is apparent when staff work closely with parents to understand children's needs and make adaptions based on their personal requirements.

Staff have ongoing opportunities to update their professional development and knowledge. For instance, staff attend yearly training days and refresh their knowledge on safeguarding and how to respond to a medical emergency.Staff form good partnerships with parents.

They provide parents with a weekly schedule of events and provide feedback at the end of the day. Furthermore, parents express high levels of satisfaction with the service. They state that staff are friendly and professional and their children love attending and enjoy the vast array of fun activities.

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.There is an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts children's interests first.

What does the setting need to do to improve?
