This provision is good • Children form strong attachments to staff, who are caring and attentive to their needs.

This helps them to feel secure and try new activities with confidence. • The manager and staff provide first-hand experiences to help children learn about the natural world. For instance, they provide ample opportunities for children to be outdoors in the fresh air to motivate them to learn.

• The quality of teaching is good. Children are encouraged to self-select from a wide range of toys and resources, inside and in the garden. • Staff promote positive behaviour well.

They give children lots of praise for their achievements, helping to raise their s...elf-esteem. • Staff work well as a team, and they work together with the provider to improve outcomes for children. For example, changes have been made to help further strengthen partnerships with parents.

They use an online programme to communicate with parents. • While children make good progress, they are not achieving to their full potential as the managers are not currently monitoring closely the effectiveness of the assessment process. • Staff do not systematically track the progress of groups of children to help them to promote excellent outcomes for children.
