Teachers know the pupils' stre...ngths and weaknesses very well. They plan interesting activities that make learning enjoyable. The school's curriculum enables pupils to develop a wide range of skills.

The teaching of reading is a strength. A high proportion of pupils greatly enjoy reading. The teaching of writing is good and improving.

The teaching of mathematics is good but teachers' subject knowledge is not as strong as it is in reading and writing. This means that levels of challenge are sometimes not high enough, particularly for the most able pupils. Pupils' behaviour is good, both in and out of class.

Some younger pupils recognise that there is room for improvement during breaktimes. Many pupils appreciate the good relationships they have with other pupils. Pupils are making good academic progress.
