The achievement of students in the sixth form is strong, especially in vocational subjects. Achievement in academic subjects is... improving. All pupils, including the most able pupils and those that are disadvantaged, achieve well in nearly all subjects.

Teaching in the primary school is consistently strong. However, in the secondary school a few inconsistences in teaching quality mean that pupils do not achieve at the highest levels Behaviour in classrooms and around the school is good. Pupils conduct themselves sensibly and are well-mannered.

Occasionally, secondary pupils are boisterous in corridors and need firm handling by staff.
