Summary of key findings for parents and pupils

This is a good school The headteacher and leadership team share their high aspirations and expectations for pupils effectively with staff, parents and carers.

Leaders create a learning environment which promotes their school motto well as pupils 'love to learn and learn to love'. The outdoor provision is used imaginatively and enhances learning opportunities. Leaders have developed an exciting and purposeful curriculum which builds on pupils' prior knowledge.

The curriculum ignites their curiosity, for example in art and history. Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make good progress overall. However, checks on the progress of thes...e pupils are not fully effective.

As a result, the progress for these pupils varies across year groups. Pupils make good progress and achieve well in reading and writing. This is because of the well-planned, systematic learning opportunities teachers provide, particularly in key stage 2.

Teaching is effective, and pupils enjoy learning. Most activities enthuse pupils but at times teachers do not plan learning in mathematics that challenges the most able pupils. The social, and emotional support pupils receive enables the most vulnerable pupils to overcome many of their barriers to learning.

Children in the early years thrive as a result of the outstanding quality of teaching they receive. The extremely nurturing environment excites and stimulates them as learners. They are very well prepared for Year 1.

Pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is exceptionally well supported through the wealth of opportunities leaders have provided. Pupils are prepared extremely well for life in modern Britain. Governors use their knowledge and expertise well to hold leaders to account in order to maintain the good quality of education that pupils receive.

The positive relationships fostered in school contribute positively to pupils' exemplary behaviour and attitudes to learning. Pupils are rightly proud of their school. Parents are overwhelmingly positive about the care, guidance and support that their children receive.

Most parents would recommend the school to others.
