Description of the school

This large Roman Catholic primary school is near to the centre of town.

Socio-economic conditions are average. Most pupils come from the immediate catchment area with about a quarter coming from further afield. The proportion of pupils eligible for a free school meal is about half the national average.

The percentage of pupils who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities is below average. Very few pupils come from minority ethnic backgrounds and all pupils have English as their first language. Children in the Early Years Foundation Stage receive part time provision in the Nursery and full time provision in Reception classes.
