This is a good school Since the previous inspection, senior leaders have worked effectively to make improvements and eliminate weaknesses. Their efforts have been successful, and the school continues to improve. Senior leaders have worked diligently to provide a good standard of education at St Jude's.

As a result, most pupils are achieving well across the curriculum. Governors are skilled, highly trained and know the school well. They use their understanding of the school's strengths and areas for development to challenge leaders to improve the school further.

Curriculum leaders are enthusiastic and have good subject knowledge. The curriculum is carefully pla...nned. It is broad and balanced and is clear in its purpose and intent.

Safeguarding is effective. There is a strong culture of vigilance at the school. Staff know what actions to take to protect pupils from harm.

The quality of teaching is good. Teachers use their subject knowledge to develop pupils' knowledge and understanding well. Pupils' personal development and welfare are outstanding.

Pupils embrace fully the school's values. They are highly considerate of all members of their school community. They know how to look after their well-being and how to keep safe.

Pupils behave well throughout the school. They have positive attitudes. Pupils from different year groups get on very well and support each other.

Most disadvantaged pupils make good progress from their relative starting points and achieve well. The most able pupils do not always develop their literacy skills and subject-specific knowledge at the higher standard. While improving, pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) do not consistently make as much progress as they should.

Pupils' attendance is good. Pupils show a strong commitment to improve their own attendance and not miss school.
