Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • The manager monitors and evaluates the quality of the provision effectively.

She seeks feedback from parents, children and staff to help identify areas to develop. For example, staff have increased the opportunities for children to develop their curiosity through sensory play. • Children and babies are settled and develop strong attachments with staff, which supports their emotional well-being successfully.

Babies enjoy cuddles from staff. Older children freely approach staff if they need help. Children behave well and respond positively to the gentle reminders from staff.

• Staff have a secure knowledge of how young children learn. They... support children's speech and language development well. For example, staff listen and respond to babies' babble consistently and introduce new words.

The oldest children speak confidently as they share their ideas with their friends. • Staff develop strong partnerships with parents. They share information about children's achievements and offer suggestions for how parents can help children learn at home.

Children make good progress from their starting points. • Occasionally, staff do not provide children with the highest level of challenge during activities to build as much as possible on what they can already do. • The manager identifies gaps in the learning of individual children well but has not fully established systems to monitor and review the progress of specific groups of children.
