Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good Children know the routine at the club. They happily arrive and place their belongings in the allocated spaces.

Children are keen to choose what they would like to play with and demonstrate a sense of belonging in the club. The manager invites new children and families to come and look around the club before they start. This helps them to see the club in operation and to become familiar with the staff and environment.

Children have a good relationship with staff and demonstrate that they are emotionally secure. Staff provide children with a good range of activities and resources that enables children to follow their interests. When children first st...art, staff gather information from parents about children's interests.

This helps staff to support children well and to provide them with activities they enjoy. The manager gathers the views and opinions from parents and children to help her to reflect on the club's practice. Recent changes to the menu have provided children with more foods that they like.

Meals offered are healthy and nutritious. It is not yet outstanding because: Although staff have established partnerships with the host school and pre-school that children attend, these partnerships are not highly effective. At times, the monitoring of staff practice does not precisely identify the support they need to help raise the quality of their practice to a higher level.
