Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good Children of all ages enjoy the time they spend at the club. They show high levels of motivation, exploring the indoor and outdoor spaces confidently. An effective key-person system helps younger children to feel part of the club and develop a sense of belonging.

Staff are well qualified. They use their skills and knowledge of how young children learn well, to help them develop skills that complement their learning in school. Children demonstrate high levels of independence in the club.

They take care of their own personal needs and enjoy selecting activities to direct their own play. Children behave very well in the club. They show strong awareness... of routine activities, such as tidying up, and cooperate well with staff and other children.

Good partnerships with external agencies ensure a consistent approach to supporting children's individual needs. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not always promptly obtain information from parents regarding what they know about their child's interests before they begin at the club. Staff do not consistently provide sufficient space for children to fully explore and investigate resources during some activities.
