Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities very well.

Staff work exceptionally well with other agencies to ensure they meet children's individual needs successfully. These children are making particularly good progress. • Partnerships with parents are strong.

Staff work hard to make sure that parents are fully involved in all aspects of their children's learning and the daily running of the nursery. Parents report that they particularly like the homely environment and that their children are making good progress in their development. • Staff have high expectations for the children and use their skills well to motiva...te children effectively and encourage them to learn.

• Staff provide varied opportunities for children to develop their physical skills. For example, they invite external visitors in to lead dance and movement groups and yoga. Children show good coordination as they move their bodies.

• At times, staff do not organise routines to support children in the best way possible. For example, staff encourage all children to be independent, which means some children get restless while waiting for long periods to go outside, while their friends are getting ready for outdoor play. • Staff do not consistently give babies the opportunity to benefit from outings, to enable them to enjoy the fresh air and learn about their community, and to support children who learn better in the outdoor environment.
