Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good Since the last inspection, the provider has developed his knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the early years foundation stage. For example, the club is well heated and ventilated, and children enjoy increased opportunities for outdoor play.

Staff receive regular supervision meetings to help identify their future training needs. Staff implement effective behaviour management strategies. Children learn to take responsibility for their actions and understand how their behaviour can affect others.

Staff complete daily safety checks to help ensure the environment remains safe and secure. Parents say that the club is well organised and th...at their children enjoy attending. Staff have developed good links with parents, professionals and staff at the local school.

This helps to promote continuity in meeting children's needs. Children develop skills that complement their learning in school, which helps them to make good progress. Children's confidence is nurtured by staff.

They develop good social skills, such as taking turns and discussing ideas for play. It is not yet outstanding because: Staff do not always provide a broad range of resources to enrich children's imagination, enabling them to explore freely and direct their play in whichever way they wish. On occasion, staff do not always deploy themselves effectively to engage with children and ensure they are happily occupied.
