This provision is good • Children enjoy playing in a warm, welcoming, safe and secure environment.

Staff check the premises inside and outdoors, and remove any hazards. They supervise children well at all times. • Staff use the outdoor space creatively.

Children get lots of good opportunities to explore the outdoor area. They make good use of the equipment to develop their physical skills as they balance and play games. This helps children to develop and use their large muscles when they are running, hopping and jumping.

• Staff work with parents and outside professionals to ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported we...ll. They use additional support well to help children to make good progress in their development. • Partnerships with parents are good.

The manager and staff ensure that there is a continuous two-way flow of communication. They share information with parents to help support their children's learning at home and at the nursery. They work closely with the parents to ensure that the children's care and learning needs are met.

• The management team evaluates and reflects on their practice effectively. They take into account the views of staff, parents and children when making changes. This helps them to drive further improvement and provide good-quality care and learning experiences.

• In the 2-3 room, staff do not always make the most of every opportunity to encourage and support children's independence skills. For example, staff complete simple tasks, such as washing hands or pouring water into a cup, that children can do for themselves. • At times, the noise level in the pre-school room becomes high and disrupts children's level of concentration and engagement in activities.
