Buddies out of School Club opened in 2008 and is registered on the Early Years Register and the compulsory and voluntary parts of the Childcare Register. It is privately owned and operates from Saltersgate Junior School situated on the outskirts of Doncaster. The club serves the immediate locality and also the surround areas.

It opens five days a week from 7.30am until 9am and 3.30pm to 5.

45pm term time only. Children attend for a variety of sessions. Children are cared for in the school hall and have access to an enclosed outdoor play area.

There are currently 93 children on roll, 31 of whom are in the early years age range. There are currently six staff working dir...ectly with the children, of these, three hold an appropriate early years qualification. What the setting needs to do to improve further To further improve the quality of the early years provision the provider should: focus more precisely on the support for children in the absence of their key person, for example, by allocating a second person who they are able to explore their thoughts and ideas with.
