Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • Effective partnerships with parents and other professionals support staff to meet children's individual needs. They work together consistently, sharing information about children's development and care.

• The key-person system is well established and helps children to form strong emotional attachments as staff support them in their play effectively. Children develop good levels of confidence and feel safe and secure in the pre-school environment. • There are good recruitment and induction procedures in place.

For example, leaders complete regular checks to ensure that all staff working with children are suitable and able to carry out their roles ...effectively. • Staff understand how children learn and develop. They provide a variety of stimulating and challenging activities, and children explore with confidence.

All children make good progress from their starting points. • The managers' monitoring of staff does not yet drive the quality of teaching, and the outcomes for children, to an even higher level. • Although staff assess children's development effectively, they do not always use these findings to plan consistently for children's next steps to help them make the best possible progress.
