This provision meets requirements Children attending the holiday camp are happy, and they enjoy coming each day.

All children receive a warm welcome from the deputy and manager as they arrive, which helps them to feel secure. Children access a good and diverse range of resources and activities to suit their interests and needs. They have access to the excellent facilities on site as well as base rooms, which are housed appropriately for the different age groups.

Staff build caring relationships with the children, who follow their instructions well. For example, when moving from room to room, children have a line order which they follow proudly throughout t...he day. Older children are kind to younger children, helping them join in with games as they play together.

Children construct with bricks, play collaborative physical games and enjoy spending long periods playing together. Younger children talk enthusiastically about their favourite superheroes and enjoy telling the inspector all about why their favourite is the best.

What does the early years setting do well and what does it need to do better?

Children display positive attitudes and behave well.

Staff are good role models. They set clear and consistent boundaries, which all children follow and understand. At lunchtime, children automatically clear their lunch boxes from the table, putting rubbish into the bin, before they join together for group games.

The manager of the setting is well qualified. All staff have training in their induction that focuses on supporting younger children.The manager takes the lead responsibility for forming relationships with the parents of early years children.

She welcomes all children as they arrive and ensures that they are settled into the club with the relevant staff. The manager makes sure she spends time with younger children each day.Staff provide a range of indoor and outdoor sports, activities and games, to help children build on their skills.

For example, a mini-Olympics supports children's body control and their ability to think critically and solve problems as they learn new skills.Staff support and encourage children to form good and caring relationships with each other. Children play together, extending each other's ideas.

They cheer each other on when engaged in competitive activities, often chanting supportively without prompting from adults, as each child has a go.The camp staff are committed to ensuring children's safety. The manager completes daily risk assessments, for both the premises and equipment.
