Staff working with the youngest children hold daily meetings with managers to ensure they have a strong insight about the children they are expecting. For instance, they review information forms about children to find out about their likes and interests. This helps them to plan and provide fun and relevant activities for the children to enjoy.

Staff monitor children closely during their time at the club and help younger children to move s...afely around the building. They promote positive behaviour, reminding children of their expectations in a kind manner when necessary. Staff encourage children to join in and work together.

For instance, young children help one another to build special tracks for the toy dinosaurs they are playing with. Staff instinctively follow children's lead and adapt activities as they go, which helps to keep children engaged throughout the day.
