Highlights from Latest Inspection

Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • The quality of care and education has improved significantly since the last inspection.

A new management team now ensures that the staff receive effective mentoring and training. Staff speak enthusiastically about their new responsibilities, such as planning and implementing improvements, which are focused on the children's needs. • Staff regularly review what children are interested in and plan activities to engage and challenge them further.

As a result, the majority of children are making at least typical progress based on their starting points. • Children who have special educational needs are supported very well. Staff work closely with paren...ts to plan effective and targeted support.

They also develop personalised activity packs to help parents support their child's development further at home. • Children behave very well and develop good relationships with others. Babies are particularly well supported in making close attachments to their key person, who meets all of their care needs.

This helps the youngest children to feel secure and safe. It is not yet outstanding because: • There are some instances where children are not provided with sufficient time to think through their responses and respond to questions from staff. • The transition to lunchtime in the toddler room is disorganised, meaning that children do not always settle quickly to eat their meals.
