Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good The manager implements effective self-evaluation processes and reflects well on the setting's practice. She seeks the views of others, such as the local authority, and acts on any advice to help improve children's outcomes. Children benefit from staff's effective partnership with parents.

Parents are kept well informed of children's ongoing development and are involved well in their learning experiences in the setting and at home. Staff are caring, friendly and form warm relationships with children. They are sensitive to children's needs and support their emotional well-being effectively.

Children make good progress and develop the skills needed fo...r their future learning. They develop good social skills, such as playing cooperatively and sharing willingly with others. Children learn to be kind and behave well.

Staff teach children what is and is not acceptable behaviour to help keep them safe, such as reminding them not to run inside. It is not yet outstanding because: At times, staff do not fully encourage children to think of their own ideas, to enhance further their creative skills. Staff miss opportunities to encourage children who speak English as an additional language to use their home language in their play and learning.
