This provision meets requirements Children are happy and settled in the after-school club. They are warmly greeted by staff as they arrive. Children are familiar with the routines and follow instructions well.

They hang their coats and bags up on arrival and know to wash their hands before having snack. Children behave well in the club. They are confident communicators and display good manners.

Staff act as positive role models for the children. They show respect as they speak and listen to children. Children have a strong voice in the club.

They share their views on activities and experiences they would like to engage in. This helps children to b...e engaged and feel part of a community in the club. Children become quickly engaged in the activities provided.

They enjoy moulding coloured clay into characters and talk to staff about the different colours they are going to use. Children design and make vehicles with construction equipment and enjoy racing them with their peers. Art and craft activities encourage children to be creative and use their imaginations as they decorate butterflies.

Staff provide constant praise to the children on their achievements, which helps build their confidence and self-esteem.

They are closely supervised by staff and wear high-visibility jackets. Children know how to walk sensibly. Staff carry out stringent checks to ensure that the children arrive safely to the club.

Children enjoy accessing a wide range of resources in the well-organised environment. They make clear choices about what they would like to access after their busy day at school. Staff are mindful that some children require quieter spaces to complete tasks such as homework or craft activities, and these are readily provided for children.

Staff understand the importance of promoting a healthy lifestyle. Children have plenty of opportunity to be physically active in the fresh air. They play in the outside field and access the local play area under the supervision of staff.

They enjoy picnics in the woods in the summer months and have access to a large indoor sports hall, where children enjoy playing tennis and dodge ball.Staff provide children with healthy and nutritious snacks at the club. Children enjoy chatting to their peers and staff about their day during snack time.

Staff remind children to sit nicely, helping them to develop good table manners. Children independently clear their plates away once they have finished. Staff are vigilant of children with allergies or those who have special dietary requirements.

All staff receive training in managing allergies, and there are clear instructions, enabling staff to meet the needs of the children.Staff form strong relationships with the school the children attend. They liaise closely with teachers to ensure the needs of the children are met.
