They provide high levels of attention to encourage younger children's personal, social and communication skills. • Staff are positive role models. They engage children in meaningful conversations and value their views.

Staff provide children with lots of praise and encouragement. Children behave w...ell. They follow the rules of the club and are kind and respectful in their interactions with their peers and adults.

• Partnerships with the host school are strong. Communication with the headteacher is good and there are effective methods established to share relevant information. • Children enjoy taking part in activities with their friends and this helps them to build on their social and communication kills.

However, less-experienced staff occasionally miss opportunities to build on the children's outdoor play experiences to further enhance their engagement. • Leaders and managers are well organised, ambitious and motivated. They are keen to provide the best possible service for parents and children.
