Staff plan effectively for when children arrive to ensure their favourite activities are available. Children quickly settle into what they want to do for the session. There is space available for children who need time to relax after a busy day at school.

They enjoy snuggling into a cushion with a favourite book. Children behave impeccably. They are polite and courteous to their peers.

Children offer to help the staff tidy up at the end of an activity to keep the environment safe and cle...an. Children play extremely well together. They offer to help each other with the dressing-up clothes.

As children dance and swirl together, they giggle in delight as their dresses swish as they pretend to be princesses. Children sit at the craft table and choose from the selection of crafts on offer. They concentrate as they use the paints to decorate their different animal creations.

Children stop and listen to staff's instructions when they play ring games, such as 'find the keys'. They wait with anticipation for their turn to hide the keys.

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective.Staff and managers follow robust policies and procedures. They confidently explain signs and symptoms relating to all types of abuse and know how they will act, so they can swiftly report any concerns about the welfare of a child.

Managers ensure all staff have the opportunity to update their safeguarding training regularly. This is to ensure staff have the appropriate knowledge to assure no children come to harm. Staff respond promptly to risks in the environment and remove these to ensure that the spaces used by children and equipment are safe for them to access.
