This provision is good • Children arrive at the club confident and keen to join in with activities. They enthusiastically select their own resources from the comprehensive range on offer and independently lead their own play.

• The club has an effective key-person system in place. This helps to ensure the youngest children's well-being is suitably managed and consistent links are built with parents. • Staff know children well and plan a variety of activities to support and build on their interests.

For example, they plan activities, such as making dough, to engage children who enjoy art and craft activities. • Staff have excellent partnerships in place with the host scho...ol. They share information about children's care and progress successfully.

This supports continuity for children. • Staff get to know children well before they start at the club. They work with teachers, parents and the children to gather important initial information about children's interests and experiences.

Children are encouraged to complete an 'All about me' sheet and share their favourite meals. • Procedures to monitor and supervise staff's performance are not highly focused on strengthening the good quality of their interactions with children even further. • The management team does not fully gather the views of parents to contribute to the continuous development of the provision.
