Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good Staff work closely with parents and gather their views on the practice in the nursery.

Recent changes as suggested by parents, to outings has helped to make these more enjoyable to support children's learning. Staff have a clear bond with the children. They give cuddles of reassurance as children play, helping to support their self-esteem, and building children's confidence to be ready to play.

The provider evaluates staff practice well. She reviews the quality of teaching and assesses staff training needs. Recent training has supported the staff with investigative play and children have been calmer as they play.

Staff teach children well ...and children make good progress with their learning and development. It is not yet outstanding because: Tracking is not as rigorous as it can be, as staff do not fully analyse the data to clearly identify gaps in children's learning. Quieter children are not consistently able to share their thoughts as more vocal children sometimes take over the activities.
