This provision meets requirements Children clearly enjoy themselves at this out-of-school club and have a good sense of belonging. As they arrive, children know to hang their coats and bags up on the hooks provided. Staff and children share meaningful conversations as they play.

For example, staff listen as children talk about the Queen and her funeral next week. Children can choose what they would like to do from a wide variety of activities, both indoors and outside. They enjoy playing imaginatively and problem-solve as they pretend to be vets.

Children write down imaginary appointments, pretend to speak to pet owners on the telephone and decide how to p...ut a bandage on a toy llama.Children enjoy outdoor activities and show great delight as they play safely in the large school playground. They climb trim trails and make their way up climbing walls.

Children balance on beams and swing on monkey bars. They practise their aim as they join in a game to throw balls into holes., and scream with excitement as the ball goes in.

Staff encourage children to play together harmoniously. They set up games, such as skittles, for older and younger children to play. Staff encourage children to count how many skittles fall and work out how many are still standing.

This complements their mathematic skills in school.

Children collect their own plate and choose from a selection of sandwiches, salad items and fresh fruit. They pour their own drinks and sit themselves on the mat. They chat together as they eat.

As children finish, they clear their own plates and cups and go off to choose their play. The staff at the club have close links with the host school. Some of the staff team work at the school during the day.

This provides children with a familiar face and helps new children to settle. The headteacher at the school is complimentary about the club, saying the staff are professional and friendly.Parents speak highly of the club.
