Summary of key findings for parents

The provision is good • The manager and staff are very passionate about the nursery. The manager gathers the views of others, including other professionals, to support her future action plans.

• Staff create an interesting, inviting learning environment indoors and outdoors, which children can explore freely. Teaching is good quality, which supports children's enjoyment and motivation. • Staff consistently encourage parents to contribute what they know about children's development to their progress assessments and share information about what children like to do at home.

• Children make good progress and are well prepared for their next stages of learning, including the ...eventual move to school. It is not yet outstanding because: • Sometimes, staff do not fully extend what children say during activities to challenge and enhance their thinking skills. • Occasionally, staff do not plan group activities or routines meticulously enough to ensure that children fully engage in them to promote the best possible outcomes.
