Summary of key findings for parents

This provision is good • The manager and staff team are extremely passionate about providing the best possible care and learning experiences for all children.

They have worked extremely hard to raise the quality of the nursery since the last inspection. They have addressed the actions raised and enhanced many other aspects of their practice. • Partnerships with parents is now a key strength.

They are provided with a wide range of information and ideas to help to promote children's learning at home. Parents say they are kept up to date with their children's progress and report positive relationships with staff and management. • Staff complete effective, observation and as...sessment of children's learning and development.

They know precisely the progress and attainment of every child, meaning any delay in children's learning is swiftly recognised and addressed so that no child falls behind. • The key-person system is effective and well established. Babies and children thrive in this calm, welcoming and friendly play and learning environment.

They develop secure emotional attachments to their key person and other staff. • Very occasionally, less experienced staff do not use highly effective questioning techniques to support young children's learning and help them to build a deeper understanding through their responses. • Sometimes, staff miss opportunities to build on older children's learning as they do not always encourage them to test out their own ideas during play.
